Cool As is a family business lead by owner and experienced ducted ventilation and refrigeration expert James McLaughlin.
James has loved working with heating and cooling since he first took a school holiday job to earn some money at a Wellington company over 20 years ago. When he left school, he found a permanent job in the industry and went on to qualify as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician.
“When I started out, I found the work very interesting. I enjoy the problem solving and working out solutions with machinery and technology.”
He gained experience and his qualification working for companies installing heating and cooling ventilation systems, and then broadened his knowledge working in management for a product wholesaler, before returning to installation work.
“I missed working on the tools and the satisfaction you get from installing a system that will make a big improvement to a client’s home or business.”
James started Wellington company Cool As, which he runs with the support of wife Robyn.
